Summer plans are already underway with the FSSL for the 2012 season. I have been forced into making some personal changes which will affect my involvement with RSST. In order for RSST to survive as a successful program for youth swimmers, the team needs a commitment by at least 3 individuals to step-up into the President, VP, and IT/Scorer positions for this season.

I'd hate to see this program collapse especially after a lot of hard work was done for many years by John and Cathy Grillo, the tremendous marketing and fundraising efforts from Donnamarie Needle, Jaimie Penrod, and Linda Papas who canvas Mt. Airy each year, all the energetic committee heads listed below, and my efforts to get the tax-exempt status filed and maintained. Plus, I'd be heartbroken to see the demise of this summer activity for the coaches and the kids who look forward to it each season!

The board will be having a meeting soon and we would like interested individuals to meet with us at that time to discuss these KEY positions and the little involvement it takes. We are currently working on an electronic registration process in an effort to keep things easy and stress-free for the short, fun-filled two month season. Organized, energetic, fun, and family-oriented individuals who are interested in keeping this 501c3 tax-exempt organization running should step forward now! I will be available to work closely with these people to ensure a smooth transition, along with our current board members.
